Found this on another board; i think its bloody absurd if they d/c the viper. Anyone have any more info on this?

to discontinue the Viper, especially if it "no longer can deliver the desired halo effect."
halo effect....WTH?

I can see where they are coming from though, with Cerberus trying to turn the company around, the Viper doesn't flow with the minivans, pick-up trucks, rental cars/family cars in their product line.

Thinking long term, those CAFE restrictions on fuel economy will do a number on the viability of all the SRT's won't it? Not that they will all disappear but that they might start to regress in-order to reach the fuel economy targets?
