Love this car. Looks so similar to the original '70 version.

It needs a 6 speed pistol grip. When are they gonna release the Cuda???

And with the new CAFE 35 regs, its highly unlikely any of the new muscle cars will remain around for long. I doubt any will survive production past 2012.

Some have said they will just turn to weaker powerplants and more efficient styling. That was tried once, and we ended up with the 81 Ironman Camaro. (shivers in fear) 0-60 came in 20 seconds and school buses rocketed by in a blur of yellow.

I think past 2012 we will simply see a die-off of bigger models and bigger engines. Cars will hopefully downsize to their 90s sizes (I remember when the old 750i was as big as todays 3 series, sheesh).

Anyway, yah the Cuda is not on the table, and the reason its so slow is it has a 4200lb curb weight. 4 piston calipers still mean that this thing will burn through breaks at the track..

Gotta love it, get a good "War" going in the 60's and 70's and get killed, now we FINALLy get a decent horsepower war and the F*ckn CAFE stuff is going to kill it..

I am at a CJD Dealer and we are getting 2 of them in April 08. Towards the end of the year they should be mainstream...not so much the SRT8, but the regular R/T with the 5.7L Hemi. If you have the $$ you shouldn't have to wait until 09.

I'd almost buy it on looks alone. Almost. Seriously though, those performance figures are pretty tame. 425 hp from a 6.1? That might have been considered good.....for 15 years ago. But we got a hard drive! Woo hoo No wonder they are going to close down for part of this summer.

Saw a black one in person and it looks great. This should be a home run for Dodge. Just lower it and throw on a set of aggressive wheels and it would be perfect.

I would love to have one. There is one heck of a waiting list. How many of you are on a waiting list for one of these?

Best Regards,

Thomas Carey

I am but after seeing the interior, I'm having second thoughts. Very cheesy!
