Caddys are great until...

you try and sell them. The resale is horrific. Theres a reason for that. Reliability and shop cost.
I had an Escalade. Always in the shop at $125.00 per hr. traction control light stayed on. $1500 later......still on. 2 broken window motors, and on and on.
I had an STS. Always in the shop. Fuel pump. starter on a northstar $800.00. on and on.
I do like the XLR-V. Just scared of the cost involved.

glad I dont have a cadillac powertrain.....

and I dont buy a car thinking about the resale....this isnt an investment....its a cost that should be minimized to your personal preference.

but i hear ya, loud and clear.

The V is the worst and best car Ive ever owned for a variety of reasons. Whens shes working properly, I have never felt so excited behind the wheel of a car...and Ive driven some damn nice vehicles...lambos, ferraris, maseratis, porsches etc etc....

this one puts more of a grin on my face.

Actually, I bought my '05 CTS-V for $45k. Dropped about $15 in mods into it. Sold it after driving it for almost 4 years for $30k. That's not too bad on the depreciation. About 35% loss on the original price or 50% if you include full price of the mods.

The '05 Cayenne Turbo I drive now came with at least $25k in mods. Cost over $105k new. You can buy 'em for about $40k on eBay right now! That's about a 60% loss or a 70% loss including the mods. Now THAT is depreciation!
