My Hemi Orange SRT8 Challenger Arrived
#34
I live in Northern Colorado and there are 5 (3 orange/2 silver) within 40 miles of me still on the lot. The dealers in this area all have the same response - "we're taking offers". I like the orange one, but I'm not participating in a pseudo-auction. It will be interesting to see if 6400 was the magic supply/demand number or if Chrysler miscalculated.
If anyone is interested in the cars I can point you in the right direction.

Nice car.. mean stance.
A black one rolled up on me yesterday when I was cruising around in my '69.
I showed him the pipes , but it was quicker than I thought it would be.
I wouldn't want that race > 100mph.

They have an orange and a black one at HB Dodge, been there for some time. I'd bet they'd deal

this is from a fleet manager of a Dodge dealer, black & white in Challenger forum:
''THE FIRST YEAR 6500 NUMBERED CHALLENGERS ARE NOT FOR THE AVERAGE JO OR THE GUY WHO THINKS THERE COOL!!!! THEY ARE FOR INVESTORS, COLLECTORS AND TRUE CHALLENGER ENTHUSIESTS. EVERYONE WHO COMPLAINS ABOUT THE PRICE OF THESE CANT OR SHOULDNT BUY ONE. YOU NEED TO BUY/ORDER YOUR 2009 MASS PRODUCED SE/RT! (SEE #1 AUCTONED AT BARRETT/JACKSON FOR $400,000.+) IF EACH ONE OF THE 6500 DECLINED A SMALL % EACH, WOULDNT THAT MAKE #6500 STILL WORTH WAY OVER M.S.R.P.???????? FOR ANYONE WHO PAID M.S.R.P OR LESS FOR THEIRS AND ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH DODGE IN ANY WAY, I CHALLENGE YOU TO POST YOUR CONTRACT FOR ALL TO SEE!!!!!''

because they think 6,400 cars in less than half year in production is RARE!
