I agree! Its a dependable and durable power plant. I just mentioned it for those caviar licking enthusiast that believe a pushrod is archaic and not a "proper" modern power plant. It's not a Diesel powered v12 that can run 24 hours and run more laps faster than any other engine but needless to say, it still produces over 600 usable hp on a street legal car is amazing.

I'd take the Ford, stow it away, and buy a 2010 zr1! Or 2011..... Just because production had already ceased on the ford. Zr1s should be around for another 2-3 years.

Anyone who is thinking of selling, or has sold a Ford GT in the past year, is an idiot. The price of them is only going up, regardless of Heritage paintjob or not...

Besides, there's a reason why the creator of Gran Turismo has 3 of them.

Regarding the ZR1, I hope it's as crazy as they say it is... I beat everything on the road with the Z06, I can't imagine how easy it'd be with a ZR1.

Sorry his dealership is only getting 18 for this first year.

And I don't remember the deposit amount, it wasnt to high since they put down deposits for the Z06 before it came out with the same dealership.

Is it at MSRP and how much do you want?

Just wait and the frenzy will go down, unless you HAVE to have one of the first ones. Look at the Z06, Shelby, Ford GT, they all boomed at first then months later they were sitting on lots. Not to mention the second year productions always have improvements.

^ you're right about the Z06s and GT500s, not about the Ford GTs though. They still demand MSRP or more for a Ford GT

Figured I'd post a shot of the ZR1 that I took last weekend at the Eyes on Design show. You can also see a new CTS-V behind the ZR-1.

Up until just recently you are correct, but from what I have seen last year Dealerships still had some on their lots they were giving away(MSRP or under). The recent demand is because production was cut short in 06 so their is limited quantities. Sort of like the 2000 Cobra R. Those have held good value, but the reason is only 300 were made. I am pretty confident the Zr-1 will be readily available end of this year beginning of next and again first year models are usually not the way to go.

The exact color and trim I want! Would have wanted one in white, but the blue trim on the supercharger cover and the brake calipers throw it off. Can't wait.. Now the caddy is tempting but I think its suffering from "chrome toxicity!" I guess I could have them painted to match the body or get one all blacked out!

WOW, those are the first pictures of the CTS-V that I have seen and I must say that for a sedan that thing looks really good.
