Ford Raptor
Ha, he has aftermarket wheels so on the outside it doesn't say SVT. I never looked at the door sills etc. He's selling it and moving to the otherside (GM) anyway. He can't take the cars heft anymore.
I'm not much of a truck guy either, but put me down for one of these. With the 6.2 engine of course. And why the hell do I have to wait another almost TWO YEARS for it though? We'll be lucky if any of the big 3 are still alive by then.
Depending on how much the "stealers" want out of them of course... I bet they'll be about $40K sitting on the lot with that good 'ole second sticker "market adjustment" of another $10-15K. If that becomes the case with most "specialty vehicles" which it always does, then...well...never mind.

it should be a little more than 40k. add up a nicely loaded 150 fx4 and you will see its 38k+ msrp. the raptor comes with a lot of those options standard. then add a couple thousand for the suspension and new 4x4 or offroad racing tech. and a few more the the 6.2 option. 45k would be a good guess for the 6.2. about the same price as 250 crew cab.
the test ride at barrett jackson was very much like a roller coaster and just as much fun!!!! the baja truck finished 3rd in class 8 at baja this year!

the raptor is an 2010 truck. the 6.2 will be available winter 2009 for the model year 2010 raptor.
According to all that I have read the Z28 will be that or less. Looks to be getting some carbon fiber panels.
Guess you didn't read what I wrote, it's said that like the ZR1 the Z28 will have some carbon fiber panels to keep weight down. Either way it will be a GT500 killer, the regular SS isn't far off it's performance NA.
same wieght similar power(about 40rwhp apart), your correct the gt500 and ss should be close. how close? 12.4 116 vs 12.7 113. bottom line is that they are both heavy!
Bottom line, is yes, they are both too heavy IMO.
But that Z28 looks pretty sexy.
