need advice on short shift kit and other mods

I have been driving my father's 1995 mustang gt more lately while my 996TT has been getting repairs/service. It is a mario andretti limited mustang (1/43 in the world). It has a vortec supercharger system, suspension/springs, brembo brakes, hre wheels, and exhaust system.
The shifting (stock) has extremely long throws. Is there is short shifter that is recommended/preferred for this car?
Are there any other must do mods that you can think of? I don't want to do anything extensive, but if there are some bolt on parts that would improve performance, i would be interested.
thanks

The MGW piece might be the only shifter I have never heard a complaint about. Its usually the best bet when looking into short throws.

As for other mods... its hard to know without getting a full run down on the car and whether the "collectibility" would be diminished (if you care that is). Otherwise going off what you said I would look into a Cam and new Tune. I can't help you on the cam choice (mod motor guy), but I can point you in the right direction for a tuner --> Jon Lund http://www.lundracing.com/
