You can make anything be faster than other in a stright line thats easy, no dynamic. But Viper SRT-10 has a proven overall dynamic platform from stock as proven on Nburg ring.

 

I agree on that. They are not many Highhorse 900+ powered ZO6's and Porsche TT's(making above even 700/800hp) running around as the High HP 2nd gen Viper alone on the streets. Supras are really the only other bolt on highhorse power platform that is out there. I mean before I have gotten my Supra to the stage you see pictured above in my last few postings. I started out with BPU (Basic power upgrades) intake,Down-pipe and exhaust,boost controller. Using the stock tubros as non-seqential by welding the seqential butterfly door open on the pressure side. The Supra can make almost 500rwhp for under $2000 without touching the motor or computer @ 12/14.5 psi (stock is 10psi). And that's back in the day before any porsche,Z06,Lambo,ferrari or Viper was even seeing close to 500hp at the stock engine. And then you can go crazy like me.

 

As do the P-cars and Z06's. But yes, I agree on the 93 octane point that was brought up. No P-cars are making near that much on 93 (I think around 800 is the max to date), and I doubt any Supras are either. But I believe there are Z06's that are.

I'm a big fan of Vipers. Just pointing out that there are some other kids on the block as well.

There are so many cars out there that have gotten over 1000 whp. On the highway, it's all about traction, gearing, coefficient of drag in addition to the power. The big boy Vipers, Supras, Ford GT's have all hit 1300 whp + and have been dominating, but the new king is gonna be the Gallardo. It's advantage......AWD! It's gonna be untouchable at any speed. The car just comes with the perfect combination of everything; big motor, high revs, lightweight, aero, brakes, etc. Only drawback is that it hasnt hit the power levels of the big liter americans.

Thats true. It is an absolute menace, particularly UGRs record setting G. Even they've said that it's the ultimate.

I've probably seen 50+ TT Vipers making from 800-1300rwhp. I'll probably never see a TT Gallardo on the street. Not unless I'm in Houston

I can bearly find a stock Gallardo running around. I kown two guys that own them but most owners if not all dont touch power levels in the Gallardo. Let alone TT'ing them...... I'd say that is a rare thing.

BTW did you guys forget the king? Vipers are the only FULL WEIGHT, FULL INTERIOR WITH HEAVY SOUND SYSTEM, A/C, IRS, 6 SPEED CAR that has ever run in the 7's of the cars mentioned. The Viper is the only current supercar to ever run in the 7's ON PUMP GAS. Heres a few vids:

Immanual should know Garth from the Supra world. Here is his UGR built full street, full interior sound systemed, IRS Viper doing 7.9 @ 183mph. Did I mention this is a street car that you could go to the track, kill everyone and then take your wife/girl to dinner after.

Also Heffner and UGR have various Vipers they have run 7's with ON PUMP GAS. SW's Supra that broke the 6 speed, IRS record was drastically lightened to about 3000lbs, didnt have interior door trim etc so its hardly a real streetcar compared to the heavier than stock Viper that did the 7's @ 183mph.

No Gallardo or Z06 or Porsche or Supra has achieved the top numbers the Viper has without significant weight savings and nitrous......Yet. If you just look at cold hard numbers, with out all the streetcar variables, none of the cars mentioned have achieved what the Viper or Supra has done.......YET...Eddie Bello's Porsche doesnt count as his car is a full racecar now Those TT Gallardos are coming up HARD though but even the tuners say from a roll they are not quite ready for the top Vipers yet. From a dig its Gallardo all day though.

SWs car is a "street car". Again its all in how your perceive that word. I've seen his car multiple times, and saw his record setting runs at the TX mile.

It's a clean car, with weight reduction, and race gas. Yadda yadda yadda...

I'm a baller on a budget LOL. I don't have $600 bucks to blow on a 55G drum of C16. So a street car to me, runs on pump 93/94. Has street tires/DRs and can be driven without having to pull over to cool down.

Everyones got their own definition of "street legal", it's a never ending debate. In all reality, nowadays anything with mods is technically illegal by most states standards. But I think everyone can agree, that nobody cares about that LOL.
