new CTS-V in the snow

Is anyone driving their 2009/2010 CTS-V in the winter? I'm in Chicago and wondering if I can pull this off as a daily with a set of winter tires.

Im located in Columbus, Ohio. We have not had too much snow and ice yet, but what we have had my CTS V has done very well with the pirelli sottozero setup recommended by tirerack. Its the stock sizes on the stock wheels. Probably one of the best all around dd there is.

Is that a straight winter tire? Did you just go with a winter tire on the stock rims and move the summer rubber to custom wheels?

Are you planning on driving anything else this winter, or just go through it daily in the V?

Hopefully I am not violating any rules by posting this link. Im in no way affiliated with tire rack. The winter tires are on the stock wheels and then some custom wheels maybe be on their way for the spring. This is the only car i will be driving. I believe the pirelli is a winter performance tire, perfect for this car. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...V&autoModClar=

Awesome. Thank you. You are doing exactly what I'm thinking about... V as the only car in the winter with snow tires. I'm very curious to hear how it goes this winter for you...
