New CTS-V coupe
Well, this past Saturday I was invited over to Cadillac Speed Labs. Where we got to mess around with the CTS Coupe the CTS-V sedan and the CTS-V coupe... *drool*
It was half a day of beating on the cars at the West Palm Beach International Raceway. We had a very mixed group of people... a guy with a STI, a couple with a M3 (hers) and M5 (his) and older person with a porche (can't remember which one) and some others.
1st we started with the CTS Coupe... doing some acceleration and hard breaking and a fast lane change. All of this after it had rained REALLY hard. I was amazed at the short stopping distance of the regular CTS.
2nd it was the CTS-V Sedan... I drove the Manual... hard acceleration and hard breaking...on 3rd the rear tires just spin... this time we did a slalom... I was amazed of how agile the sedan felt begin the size it is.
3rd.... oh yeah... we got to BEAT the CTS-V coupe around the track. Flat out.... with a instructor on the side of course... I was AMAZED of how it performed. Whatever I did on the track the car would handle it. I am sold on it.... I will buy this car.. not now but in a couple of years.
I asked the couple with the M3 and the M5 what was their impressions after driving the CTS-V's and they were blown away by response, performance and overall package. Interior and all.
so... I drove it and I drove it really hard. I should have video of me racing around the track in a couple of weeks.
I can't wait.
Photos to come later tonight.

I participated in the Cadillac Speed Lab at Monticello Motor Club in NY last month and came to the same conclusions he did.
I also own a 2009 CTS-V Sedan and my untrained body could not tell the difference between the coupe and my sedan. They both are incredibly strong performers with grip that, at least in my case, exceeds my limit to explore.
