1967 Mercury Montclair project
The shop has been busy so engine work on the Merc has been slow. It's almost complete as you can see. Mild cam installed with new bearings, aluminum intake, cylinder heads rebuilt with ALL new components (valves, springs, seats, seals, etc...) and SS ARP hardware.

Color approved yesterday. Finally prep being completed this week including engine bay. Paint scheduled to be applied Monday. This resto project/my shop are being covered by a local news channel for the Woodward Dream Cruise. I interviewed 2 weeks ago and I will have a second LIVE interview during the cruise with the car on hand. More info to come!
It is not OE aqua met. Original 390 (# matching) 2V heads. I did switch to a 4-BBL Edelbrock carb and mild camshaft.
Did you open up the heads at all when they were off? Those motors really respond to more flow, the CJ heads are the best option but not cheap. Nice mods, should see some decent torque. You do a shift kit in that C6?
