The 6speed categories are a little limited on this one. The Tesla Roadster may be the only modern American sports car worth talking about that doesn't have a pound of muscle in it's whole body. Personally, I love the car (even though I've got a Viper). Regardless, wanted to share this story on a friend's Tesla Roadster. He is very active in the Washington DC sports car/exotic scene.

Tesla is very fast and stable. It's fairly entertaining to drive even without the exhaust notes.

It's not a muscle car though.

Side note: stock price will shoot up as soon as the sedan comes out.

The roadster as ground breaking as it was was not really american in the car sense. Technology-wise it was, but as a car it is a Lotus. The model S otoh is all american and should be a great product.

Stock price has shot up in the last month 50%. Will it take off next year? If a serious presidential contender finally gets on board and starts talking charging infrastrucutre build out then maybe. But right now, all the good news is known and priced in.

The Tesla is not a Lotus. it only shares 10% of the same components as a Lotus Elise. It just resembles one because it uses the same frame as a Loutus Elise.

Can we get a new forum either for electric cars in general? Posting in American Muscle as the OP said is a bit off topic.
