Ford has stopped production of the GT, only making a total of 1300..

This is a good thing for whoever owns one.

This seems to have been done to solve their issue of gt40 vs. shelby gt500. looks like they sorted it out

The real shame is Ford probably spent too much $ they couldn't afford to waste. I was on the list for that car from the get go and all I know is the MSRP kept rising with each passing year (probably took almost 3 from announcement to deliveries) and then the greedy dealer/reseller network got involved. Had they be able to produce the car for around 115-120 and then make a bunch so it wasn't 50 over, it would have been a success for them. Now, the unused ones will make nice Barrett-Jackson cars in 40-50 years when todays teens have money and are lusting after them. I would caution anyone in running out and buying one as a money-making venture unless it's for your grandchildren.
