Detailer's Domain details a Superperformance Cobra

The paint on this car was not too bad, however there were wheel marks, haze, and swirls on the black stripe.

Wash:
Adam's Car wash with Shmitt Wash Mitt
Swissvax Paint Rubber was used to clay the car (clay lube was Adam's Detail Spray)

Wheels and Tires:
P21S Wheel Cleaner for the wheels
P21S Autowash for the tires and wheel wells
P21S Polishing Soap for the lips followed by Adam's Metal 1 and 2 with a PC and 4 inch Orange Edge pad
Tires dressed with Adam's VRT

Engine:
Since the engine wasn't all that bad we did a wipe down with some Adam's Quick Detail Spray and polished up the metal with Adam's Metal 1 and 2

Metal Trim:
All metal trim were hit up with Adam's Metal 1 and 2

Interior:
Interior was cleaned up with Einszett Cockpit and Einszett Leather Care

Paint process:
The stripes were taken care of with Menznera SIP with the Metabo with a green edge pad at 1500 rpm. Followed by Menzerna 106 with a Blue Pad at 1500 rpm.

Checking paint correction with Menzerna Top Inspection and the Brinkmann Xenon Light and 3M Sun Gun.

As for the rest of the car we used Menzerna 106 with a Blue Pad at 1500 rpm.

Next we used Swissvax Cleaner Fluid followed by a nice coat of Swissvax Concorso for a deep glossy wet finish.

And now the pics:

Phil,

I really dug it...it's an absurd car...but what a thrill! It's the perfect compliment to the Turbo...raw and insane...I am definitely getting one. The wife is going to hate it big time.

The 3m Sun Gun:

The 3M™ PPS™ SUN GUN™ Color Matching Light can be used throughout the refinish process to: Identify pre-paint defects such as pin holes, sand- scratches, etc. Choose alternate colors from various chip decks. Verify color match using paint spray outs. Check for complete coverage or full hiding. Identify post-paint defects such as sand-scratches, swirl marks, etc.
