Anybody else have a TraqMate Data Acq? Get RPM to work?

Hi guys.

Perhaps an obscure question, but I have a TraqMate GPS Data Logger (www.traqmate.com) and want to connect it to a source wire to record RPM data. Has anyone done this? Hoping for a clean DIY install that doesn't involve much cutting. The manual has some tips for doing this by trial and error, but I was thinking that someone here may have already done it.

BTW, the TraqMate is a great toy, especially if you track your car.
