Helmet Shops in NY area

Does anyone know of a good helmet shop in the metro NY area? I need to try on a helmet before I buy and don't have time (or patience) to go back and forth over the internet.

I live in Westchester and work in Queens. Northern NJ, Rockland, city, island would all work.

Thanks.

I posted the same thread the other day on the Cayenne forum. I'll be in New York the end of next week. I received some great helmet fitting information, but no responses about where to find a helmet in New York.

Can't imagine there are too many racers in the cayenne forum. I was surprised not to get any responses in this forum though.

I found a place in NJ called Stable Energies (www.stableenergies.com). Probably about 20 minutes from NYC. If you're visiting and don't have a car, might be a problem. Really nice people and pretty good selection of Bell and some HJC helmets.

I saw another shop as a sponsor of the metro NY pca (www.metronypca.org) on Long Island. Businesses like this have a hard time paying Manhattan rents. That's why they're usually in the outlying areas.

Good luck and have a good trip.
