ML63: Manual shifting vs Sport Mode
Which mode are you finding to offer the best performance?

I enjoy paddle shifting (damn the automatic) but am I actually gaining anything over Sport mode?

best performance is in sport mode/paddle shift, without a doubt.

Actually I'm interested not in Sport Manual..........

But, Sport Auto or paddle shift Manual....

Sport mode in auto is the fastest mode.

Manual is fastest shift times but you need to have perfect shift points to match the performance in D/S.
