993 RS- Why do I love this hobby?

My 993 RS (conversion) felt down on power at Road Atlanta and Sebring. We pulled the engine and determined that I have bent valves on one side (driver issue) and a cracked head on the other side (from being pushed off-track @ Sebring). I was down significant hp (got pulled on straights by 3.4 996's and RSA's). Was able to limp to a 4th place finish in the enduro and ran a 38.1.

I must now decide if I want to build it back to RS specs with an eye on selling it and moving into a Cup Car or dropping down a class and running a 3.6 or selling it for a Cup Car.

It's a fully-developed former Koni Challenge car that is blast to drive. Any thoughts on my direction?
