james6290 is infamous around these parts
I have to give it credit, that is fast for a GM. But to be completely honest, I would have thought it would do better, 210-215. The Z06 can do 195 without killing itself so I thought a lighter more powerful version would be able to squeeze more than 10 MPH more out. And i'm sure it could have maybe gotten to about 210 but it seem to hover around the 200-205 mark for a very long time. Still, props to GM for breaking the 200MPH barrier, although, time will tell if I would ever want to be in a Chevy going over 200MPH, at that speed, it's going to take more than their pretty little helmets to save them, in the event of a mishap...

No disrespect meant to chevy, great car, great achievement, I just don't know if I could trust anything less than a CGT to take me there ...

ZR1 seems to be very stable at that speed.

Is that a supercharger under your bonnet or are you just pleased to see me?

The weather here in Nürburg continues warm and dry. So it's unsurprising that Chevrolet have been out testing the Corvette ZR1 - the supercharged 642bhp behemoth that promises to make the most of your $100,000.

Without insider knowledge* it would be difficult to confirm, but I think they may have been looking for a laptime today. From my office window I spotted a helicopter chasing something that sounded very V8 and awfully supercharged...

Ferrari red. On a Corvette. Weep.

*GM: This is an open invitation. We want more information!

Don't forget aerodynamics play a big role at those speeds. The ZR1 is not that much sleaker aerodynamically than a regular Z06....still impressive....

With the amount of aero added on to the corvette I would assume that the car isnt as sleek as the ZO6, it is however far more stable and would be far better around a track.
