How much were they originally if ordered...

 

I think about 3K+ pr more...I already bought a set new from WB...and I paid around 12 and change with rubber/ TPMS and Centerlocks, which I assume is more than 5-bolt...and their prices for my setup were a good 2K less than other dealers who quoted me on the exact same setup. I heard that those wheels were ADV's most $$$ product.

 

A set of track spec CS wheels is more than $14,000 retail. If you have a good dealer you can get a good discount but ever after that they are as or slightly more expensive than a competing set of HREs. I know of what I speak. My 991 TTS wears a set of ADV005 track spec CS wheels with titanium fasteners and my E63 S AMG sedan wears a set of HRE RS101s. Both are three piece forged wheels. The prices of these sets were within $1000 of each other.

I love my ADV1 wheels. There was one initial quality problem: the Porsche TPMS sensors did not fit the wheels (the wheels were too thin in the area of the TPMS but by securing a bracket to the TPMS sensors I was good to go). My ADV1s have about 8-9k miles on them and have proven to be very strong on New York's potholed roads and got me all the way across the country on Goldrush Rally and performed flawlessly all day long at Circuit of the Americas where I was pushing my car to its limit.

My HREs on my E63 S are similarly flawless in their performance. And there were no TPMS fitment issues.

If you are looking for a beautifully designed wheel that doesn't look like other wheels, ADV1s are a great choice and a set of 21 inch track spec CS wheels for $7500 is a steal.

 

Hey Guys sorry about the delay. Sdg1871 is correct these wheels to be exact retailed for $13,988 so yes 14k and at $7500 steal is cannot be more correct and its the reason they sold today.

Is MHT still making all the ADv1 wheels?

 

When I bought mine in the winter I was told MHT was manufacturing all of the ADV1 wheels

No sir ADV has full machining facility in Miami built and full operational for last 5 months.

 

Wow that is great news. That will enable them to, like HRE, have total control over the manufacturing process once they receive the raw materials for the wheels.

I have these exact wheels, which I bought from WB a few years back...great guys, but ADV1 wheels are the biggest pieces of crap I have ever had.

These wheels were returned to ADV1 2x each for repair, repainting etc...and the finish might as well have been painted with water paint; they are that bad, not to mention how awfully out of round they are, and how badly built they were. The centers are not round, and the piece of junk center inserts were known to have serious issues which caused wheel vibration. They were to cheap to build a single center-lock hub without inserts...

Buy anything else, except ADV1...if you want a decent wheel. Save your hard-earned money.

Great looking wheels, but complete and utter garbage --

I have had 4-5 sets of ADV1 wheels - and pretty much each set has had to be returned to them at various times for defects in the finish, forging etc...

That Jordan was fired and went back to 360, means nothing...they still produce garbage...

Some things will never change and Jordan's story...is one of them.

This is the last set of wheels I will ever own from ADV1...as they're as useful as paperweights to me.

They are a perfect ruination of a very expensive and well built car,; my 911 TTS.

I am going to toss them in the dumpster where they belong and buy a set of any other wheels, except ADV1's!
