Stage 3 clutch ?
Stage 3 clutch ?
I'm still deciding on the 700 upgrade . I'm not 100 percent sure . The idea of replacing Turbo's sounds big enough to take my time to feel ok about it . After all I would be giving up my stock turbos or converting them which takes weeks .
Part of the upgrade is a stage 3 clutch ?
The stock clutch is quite comfortable . Any comments on the replacement in comparison would be appreciated.

Isn't this mod addiction crazy! After doing every conceivable mod to my Brabus B55, I swore I wouldn't mod my 997TT. But now I am just a week away from getting a new exhaust, plenum, etc. Good luck with your project!
Which exhaust ? Headers too ? ECU ?
I'm vasilating on this . The idea of giving up my turbos bothers me and it also seems like a lot of posters are also asking about the upgrade which means a three week wait might take longer as they upgrade my turbos . That would not be good .
This is the hardest jump of all for me to make with this car . It's running so pure right now .
Maybe I should wait .
I am getting a new exhuast, dynamic ECU, underdrive pulley system and a plenum done next week. I go for the baseline Dyno on Tuesday and hopefully start the work just after that.
I reconnected with an old friend from Brabus who is now with bbi autosport in Huntington Beach, CA. I checked out their shop and the guys who do their work and found their reputation impeccable. Their shop is great too. They are going to perform all of the work.
On the new Tubros, I think it is natural to hesitate. At some point you have to ask yourself whether you should keep putting time and money into this car or start saving for the Ferrari.

Barrister -I wish you the best with your project. Once the mods begin and one notices the improvement the process becomes like creating art (personalized and unique) . Eventually there will be someone else with an EVO 700 , Werks1, Tubi regular exhaust and Type 1 Techart --but for now I'm chasing this dream and a few more dollars to get the car beyond where it is now at "almost there" are where I am at emotionally . The risk of giving up the stock Turbo ups the stakes though as well as the unknown daily driver feel of a clutch.
I'm not a track racer . I'm not a technician. I am simply a dude with a car wanting to create something special.
My logiic is leaning on whether to upgrade or save to but an 09 facelift 997s Tiptronic when the Mercedes lease is up so that my girlfried and I can sip coffee together in service and drive our cars on the types of roads that Jason posted on the "vacation" thread .
I already asked her what color . She began with red and now is leaning towards white with cocoa .
