Mercedes lease return ?

I usually post in the 997 and 997tt forum (I have a 997tt) but jumped in here because I also have an E350 which has been a very reliable daily driving passenger car. Unlike my other cars which are purchased this one is leased and it is my first lease with Mercedes Benz .

I would appreciate any comments which some of the seasoned Mercedes lease persons have experienced when they return the car.
I know there is a "disposition fee" but would like to know if lease return was a simple process or not.

What should I expect when I show them my car and let them know that even though I liked Mercedes I may want to choose a different car but I am returning this one ?

Thanks in advance .

Why would it matter? You aren't forced to immediately pick another Mercedes to lease when you return that one.... return it and leave...

So I take it that your lease return was simple?

Yes, it's that simple. If you leased it via MBF call 1800FORMERC and talk to lease maturity.

You can drop the car off at any MB dealer.

This is all good to hear . There lease terms and policies are so specific and usually when a person re leases from the same company things like wear and tear items can be waived "if you lease another car" from them .

I'm returning this one and plannig eitther to buy an M3 or get anotrher Porsche. Tough decision as i already have the 997tt yet the car is for my girlfriend and we are leaning in the M3 as it has some space but either way MB is out and I won't lease this next car ,

The lease return process was really straightforward. My mother asked me to go with her because she thought it would be complicated but basically she dropped the car off, signed a few papers, checked out the car with the person at the dealership and then she was off. The only thing was that she was over her mileage limit and they said that Mercedes will send her the bill after everything was calculated (including wear and tear items)

She returned the car to a different dealership then the one she purchased and she had no plans of re-leasing so there were no waived fees like you mentioned, but I would imagine you could work something out if you planned on getting your next car there.

Thanks all --I am glad my questions were answered here. I do like the car and have been very pleased with MB sales and service . I look forward to future MB cars just not at this particular lease end segment .
