from 996 tt to a 997tt?

Anyone go from a 996tt to the 997 tt? I have a 2003 tiptronic 996 tt that I have been wondering if its worth selling and upgrading to a 997tt ? and is it best to stay with a tiptronic?

kcturbo is infamous around these parts
Many here have done so. The difference is significant in my opinion. Previously discussed here:

With PDK nearing it's hard to say whether tiptronic or manual will have the same appeal. If it's as great as anticipated then the technology ought to override the driver error in manual shifting but it also will offer the comfort of automatic .

In short it's supposed to be the best of both and with that the former transmissions might feel dated . Unless one doesn't care like me . I would take the manual because I like to feel like I am connected to driving my car and if I mis shift so what .

Perhaps in the near future a used car buyer might say "I don't want just a manual when I can have the auto feature" or visa versa . That could translate into the resale value but then again you did keep your last turbo since 2003 so maybe this selection won't matter in five years when you go to sell or trade the car .

The key is to pick what you like most to enjoy this great car.
