stay away from mercedes of tampa bay
dropped off my cls63 last week at merc service for 16k mile service which is really just an over priced oil change. They had to keep it over night because they had to order a part for the brake recall. I left my $300 Maui jims in their case in that small compartment under the drivers seat. I thought about taking them with me but figured it was merc - they won't steal them. I didn't know I'd have to leave the car there over night. Picked up the car and found the glasses and the case were gone. I'm 100% sure they were stolen. I told the service guy that maybe someone set them aside while they worked on the car. He went to the back but said no sign and no one had seen them. This is not the kind of service I expect on a $100k mercedes. They said therres nothing they can do..So i said ill be sure to share my story with as many people as possible..thanks for listening

Next time take your valuables out of the car. I don't leave anything in my cars when I take them in for service. You think a washboy will really care when cleaning a car that its a benz or a ford? He will ramsack that **** regardless, more so if its higher end, right?
A few years back I worked at a Nissan dealership and then later a Mazda dealership and saw this happen several times. Although I reported it to the owners, nothing really happened. Kinda like it's condoned on some level. Small wonder I left the business. Got tired of working around crooks.
Good for you in posting this. My experience with service managers of just about all brands is that they are the most dangerous members of the dealership's management: they all, in my experience (4 mercedes, included, and in my experience among the worst) have a poor concept of customer relations. After the obsequious treatment from the new car sales department, the treatment from the service department is a shock. And I'm willling to bet that the treatment by the dealership management of their employeees is consistent with the treatment you received.
That sucks, I always take everything out of my car when it's in for service, even my CD case. Guess the 8 or 9 bucks an hour to do oil changes they're making isn't enough to stop them from trying to make a quick buck
must be the dealer's employee bonus program
other than my fcar dealer, i don't trust any car dealer - porsche, MB, chevy, whoever. some of those people they hire will steal a dollars worth of change out of the ashtray, let alone something worthwhile like nice sunglasses.
