Ever since I spaced out my wheels, I've noticed that my wheels have more rock chips, dirt grime, road tar on them. Is this because the spaced wheels are pushed out farther thus exposing it more to the road?

Or is it because Wisconsin roads suck period and it doesnt matter about the spacers..
