Y pipe removal

Has anyone removed the engine Y pipe? Is it a simple loosening of clamps? I was planning on painting it speed yellow...

yes, it is really that easy!!! Remove the plastic vanity cover over the air filter, remove the 2 clamps at either end that hold the boost hoses onto the Y pipe and remove the boost hoses from the Y pipe. At this point, you need to undo the boost pressure sensor electrical connector. Undo the Clamp at the throttle body side, and carefully pull out and upwards on the Y pipe, pushing on the rubber connector to help it pop off the ridge on the Y pipe. Take your time and be gentle, you don't want to scratch your deck lid or either rear quarter panel.

good luck!! and speed yellow will look great on your car!!
