09 C63 winter tire fitments, help.

09 C63 winter tire fitments, help.
I'm going to be using an 09 merc C63 for the winter. Im planning on using the stock 18'' rims and wrapping snow tires around them. Front/Rear fitments are 235/40/18 and 255/35/18.
I was figuring putting 235/40/18 and 255/40/18, basically same fitments as summer tires. Is this okay? I know it also depends on what type/brand tire you have as well... I want a tire that is great in the snow, but not too hardcore because i still want a tire that provides good comfort and NO noise.
If anyone can help me out, i would appreciate that..thanks
