Aftermarket I/Cs hoses

I have contacted several tuners asking about how necessary are the silicon hoses when changing the I/Cs, some said its a must some other said that stock hoses are very good and i don't have to replace them.

Any ideas

Depends on your milage and other mods.
With 10000miles less or no more than 600hp,the stock hoses are OK.The only thing I have heard is their claps are easier to lose if you run higher boost.

More of an increased 'boost' mandated change IMO. And dont most I/C's come with new hoses?

a tunes who i trust a lot said that the only reason people change I/C hoses is because they like the color, he also told me that the when stock hoses are bold correctlly they never come off accidentlly, where silicone hoses jump out every now and then

We have seen stock intercooler hoses "implode" or collapse on themselves under extreme load. When you upgrade to a EVO or Samco type kit the 5 ply surface is much more rigid and prevents such issues from arising.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but how can you have boost and implode? One is positive pressure compared to implode it would be suction.
