I hate performance cars

Just when you think you have them fixed they break on your *** again. Just got myself a sweet new nitrous kit, got my new brakes installed.... less than a week later bam throw out bearing starts moaning I me F*CK wtf do the damn gods of motoring have against me

Luckily I had planned on doing a clutch soon... just not THIS soon. After swapping the trans out I was hoping it would stay in for more than 9 months before it came out again. Gonna buy a new clutch once I have the money and install it. But that means no driving the Firehawk until then

Hopefully setting up a techday for an install wont be too hard I will provide beer and burgers for anyone that wants to help when the time comes

'02 Pontiac with spray is not going to be the most reliable car on the market.

That is true, but you can do mods to add reliability and mods to potentially compromise reliability. I would say nitrous is in the latter category overall. Clutches generally don't like nitrous over the long haul.

The nitrous won't be something that's used often, its just to get me by until I can figure out where I want to go with this car. I'm thinking I might build a engine on the side to do high compression na e85

LSx motors are a dime a dozen now, so they really are an awesome platform to build a potent motor without spending big $$$. A buddy had a LT1 Firehawk many years ago and it sounded so, so awesome. It was my first real experience with the GM smallblock.

It would be, but it would be a tuning nightmare most likely.

Both my M3 and my GT2 are each in the shop about 2 months out of the year. Part and parcel of very high performance cars. A reliable DD is a must.

Many mods are tradeoff. Usually more power means less longevity, but not always.

Got alot of respect for you Dr. J my brother has told me alot about your Porsche and it's just insane. It kinda where I hope to be after college and a lot of hard work. But right now in college choosing something that wont blow my engine after 3 runs and over heating seems to be more a challenge
