Tuner questions

when you guys go for a tune, for e.g stage 2, ecu and exhaust, do you guys ask the tuner for dyno graphs, afr, egt, timing and boost plots ? just curious ,as i am doing a lot of reading it says a good tuner should be able to provide that. I see a lot of guys doing data log after the tune.. is that to double the check the work of the tuners, or just curious, or having issues. as i have read a lot on different forums about bad tunes and good tunes, NOW that i know a whole lot more then i did before i would like to know how my engine is running after a tune, is it safe (afr) etc.hence the question

This is where the relationship begins between you and the tuner. He should be able to not only answer all your questions to your complete satisfaction but provide you with requested data. Once you do your homework which you evidently have then the questions and answers will be more meaningful. I would recommend querying all the tuners who might interest you then choose the one who you feel most comfortable with. As far as datalogging, I just like to know the numbers so that I have a reference point, both in time performance and engine parameters. It also serves as a verification of what's been advertised.
