Hi all,

Pardon my post, but I tried to get clarification on a couple of things (mainly on fitment and harness for an aftermarket trailer hitch) and a lot of posts here have answers but could not zero in on my specific question.

I have a 12 CTT, and I'm planning on towing a trailer/boat soon. I am planning on purchasing this Curt hitch:

I have this rear skid plate:


First question: A lot of the photos out there show an OEM hitch with this skid plate. Can the Curt fit in this?

Second question: What else do I need to buy electronics/harness wise to make this work? I saw these and I'm not sure if this is all I need or if I'm totally clueless on how this whole thing works. I've seen harness kits that splice to the wiring (not sure if I wanna do that)

Trust me, I'd go OEM if I had the funds but I just want to tow things safely.

I can't help you with the wiring questions unfortunately. It looks as though the skid plate you have is just a chromed or metal version of the one on my GTS. If that's the case then the Curt system should be fine.
