Installed the trailer hitch today...

Followed the video install from the Curt website. I'm no pro and it took me less than an hour. It's a super easy install.

For those who have GTS with the fender flares (or as an option or Turbo). Looks like I will need to replace the thin 1/4" strip of double sided adhesive that keeps the flares flush to the body. Somewhat noticeable to me...but not the end of the world for now.

Nice work. Is this with wiring and everything or just simply the hitch? When I was on the hunt for my GTS a hitch was a must. I only use it for a bike rack though so I could have went this route. Great info for those searching for a pre owned and need a hitch.

Thanks for the info.

Hoping this also works on the SEH as you can not order it from Porsche - I'd use it strictly for a bike rack.

Great work! You definitely saved a few bucks over the dealership!

How would you describe the removal of the rear bumper?
That's one task i would like to know how to do, just in case.

It's fairly simple. A good idea is to have someone help you remove once all the screws and fittings are loose..specially if you have the rear sensors. Same can be said for replacing it...helps to have a second person lift into place. Aside from that it's an easy 1-person job.

That's a clean install. Did you do some trimming/cutting?

Walter, nope no cutting or trimming necessary. The hitch replaces the bumper bar and sits in front of the black metal pieces closer to the frame (forward of the bumper cover).
