car shipping

what has been your experience with shipping a car from the dealer? How long is usual for the delivery of the car?

InterCity carried mine from northern VA to Charlotte in just a day or two. But each dealer does things their own way. Depends on the carrier, the route, weather, money and how many other cars may be involved.

How far are you from the dealer? Is this a new vehicle?

the car is coming from indianapolis to mississippi. I'm just not getting any info from the dealer on the shipping situation. One of the carriers I called told me it could be a couple of weeks!

Sounds like they are zig-zagging across the east coast and midwest with a number of cars.

The seller won't tell you the carrier? Have you paid in full? That is BS.

I'd raise hell.

Raised hell and was told that transport was contracted and that they had upgraded to an enclosed transport. They had given me the impression that that was the case from the get go. I'm really pissed. They were really pushy for me to pay for the car right away, before their month ended. Now they have had my money for over 2 weeks and the car too. I was expecting better from a Porsche dealership. As soon as I get my car I'm filling a complaint with Porsche USA.
