RSS link kit and toe steer kit
So now I have put a bunch of miles on these parts I can give you some feedback on them finally. Right when I got the car I had GMG install their springs and sways plus an alignment and was quite chuffed with the difference it made. However one thing that did not improve from stock was the rear end moving around a bit too much for my liking.
Now keep in mind Im no professional driver and its my first Porsche so the whole rear engine thing was a new experience for me. It sort of felt unsettled during transitions is the best way I can descripe it i.e. steering input was great but the rear took a few more milliseconds to realize whats going on and it was a bit unsettling from the drivers seat at higher speeds entering and exiting turns.
Fast forward a couple years and eating rear tires I figured it was high time to install the RSS link kit. Mike at RSS had pointed out that those would be a good idea when looking at the wear on my rear tires a while back. While she was in there the toe steer kit was installed plus an aggressive street alignment.
What a difference, the rear feels solid and planted, a dramatic improvement. These parts need to be on your list if installing springs or coil overs, do them at the same time. They are not expensive parts to tack on to your suspension budget but they look like a million bucks.
For those wondering about road noise I have not noticed any additional noise or vibrations on road surfaces with the exception of a cobbled driveway which was no fun on stock suspension but these parts did amplify the harshness and vibrations inside the cabin. But as for a more realistic average crappy socal road or fwy I did not notice any difference, nor did the wife.
