Rotors and Pads?

Do the rotors usually need to be replaced when replacing pads on the red calipers? I have been told that they wear out about the same time and Porsche designs them that way.

No, not necessarily. You or your mechanic should be able to measure the thickness of the rotors to determine if they are in spec. Also, inspect for spidering, cracks, etc. I'm changing rotors for the first time when I next change my pads for the third time - 18,000 miles and quite a bit of track time. Best,
