I am coming out of a 2010 C2S Cab in PDK and looking to purchase an '11 TTS Cab from a few used car (non Porsche) dealers with less than 10k miles. The cars have a clean Carfax, but no service records with the sale.
If I want a PPI done at a Porsche dealer, besides any previous paintwork that can be detected, does the dealer do a DME and clutch wear test? I am not familiar with the PDK clutch wear as opposed to a manual Porsche. Are there over-rev ranges 1-6 in PDK cars or the computer eliminates an over-rev? Can a DME scan determine launches and clutch abuse?
What other items are checked on a PDK TTS car, as this will be my first used Porsche purchase.

As far as I know you can't to a clutch wear test on a PDF car. If it is a 2011 you still have some factory warranty to shake out any defects. A ppi should catch any abuse prior to purchase. I would do the ppi at the dealer you plan to use for any factory service so they signed off in it and cannot blame the "other" dealer.

That is the car I own and I sincerely love it. It is bone stock and a beast. I usually run out of nerve before I run out of road. This car is very special.. Power, AWD confidence and razor sharp handling. I have owned other sports cars like an M3 and they are very fun as well but they can bite you if your not careful. The TTS is just rock solid. It inspires confidence even in the most untrained drivers hands. Very easy car to drive fast.

 

I am looking at a car which is out of state so I have to bring it to the nearest authorized dealer to the selling used car dealership as they don't want to send their car too far away to get a ppi.
