Dension or aftermarket?

Hi guys. I know there are threads regarding the Dension 500's. I am new to the forum and recently purchased an 07 4S cab. My car has the PCM 2.1 without a cd changer. I love the car but miss not using my iPhone as my music source. My question is: What is the everyone's thought on the Dension vs aftermarket radio? Is the Dension worth it or should I shell out a couple thousand for a kenwood or alpine unit? I am wanting to use the bluetooth for both phone and music.

Thanks for the advice!!

Very happy with my Dension 500SBT for the phone and my iPod capability's for the last few years. If I wanted far better graphics on my GPS I would get probably an 2009-12 C2S. Until then, I have been extremely happy with the Dension as long as I keep up any Firmware updates! Good luck on your decision!

I use the Mobridge system in my car and I'm very happy with it. There are a few differences between the two, but I think either one would be a good choice.

I appreciate the responses and suggestions. I like the idea of having the new technology installed but not sure if I want to lose the factory equipment. I know I have to do something though, all our music is now on our phones.

I'm also very happy with the Dension 500. I installed it in the frunk, and extended the ipod cable to the glovebox. It bluetooths well for both streaming music and handsfree iphone 6s operation. I chose the easier install. If I were to do it again, I would install the unit in the cab. It's not a big deal, as long as I put my iphone in the slot below the PCM for music streaming.

Also, take a look at the smarttop add-on. It is really convenient..and really cool with remote operation of the top with the key fob, along with other nice features.

I've been using NavTV for a while now, and am quite happy with the quality and ease of use.

I just installed the MoBridge Pro in my 997.1 this past weekend and, so far, it has been great. Install was not too bad and I could do it a second time much faster! I can make/take calls and stream music from pandora. I have an iPhone 6.
