I have a changer from my 02 996. also have the crappy tape deck. looking to trade the changer for a cd player (believe it's the cdr220). i know it's a long shot, but figured i'd ask. i use my ipod mostly and want to hook it up to the factory deck. don't want to lose the capability to play a cd once i a while though. if you want to trade, hit me on my email:

why dont you just get the itrip fm transmitter

 

cause the itrip blows, along with every other fm modulator. i've tried them all. it's like listening to am radio with all the station drift. i just got a new xm unit for my work car and it's got an fm modulator built in. it's barely acceptable. but it will hold me over till i can have it wired in.

the party backed out because i am unable to supply the cable that goes with the changer. it was installed from the factory so it's loomed in with a bunch of other cables. i'm really not interested in pulling it apart to get the cable out.

the changer, brackets, and cartridge are still available though if anyone wants to trade, or if someone just wants to buy the changer.

 

just wanted to give our new member aero996 some good feedback for a smooth transaction. went very well. he got the changer yesterday and i got the player today. what a great job packing it. took me almost 15 mins to finally get to the player under all the bags, wrap, boxes, and electrical tape. needless to say, it arrived in great condition. two thumbs up for the newbie i finally got rid of that god awful tape player!!!
