65 Shelby Street/Track car CA registered for trade

Year: 1965
Make: Ford
Model: Shelby GT500
Price: $25500
Mileage: 41000
Color: Orange White
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

Really strange but looking to trade for another Bentley flying cloud, or another mustang or Camaro from the 60's. Bought the car to share with my father for DE events it is to slow for me to enjoy and a little to fast for him. Going back to a single seat car at some point. 25,500$ cash would let me get a decent Bentley Cloud with a swap locally.

Street legal, CA Registration with SB100 lifetime smog exemption. This car has already brought miles of great adventures to its owners, and has proven to be a fast, fun and reliable car for use both on track and the street.

Originally built in 2001 by legendary Factory Five builder Gary Cheney for competition in the FFR Challenge Series and racing events in the Northeast. Multiple championship winning car and need new race car log book. Championships include:

2002, 2003 COM PA Champion
2003 3rd Place FFR Nationals

Built to the original spec for the FFR Challenge Series, and comes with a Ford 5.0 liter 302 engine, T5 transmission, Cobra brakes with drilled/slotted rotors. 22 Gallon fuel cell, Kirkey race seats for driver and passenger, driver seat mounted on slider, 5-point harnesses, quick release pins for hood and nose sections, truck mounted with dzus fasteners for ease of access at the track, running on Toyo 275/40 x17 full tread tires. Would need the following items to bring up to current Challenge Series specs: engine top end upgrades, (2600$ +80hp) and fuel cell bladder.

Runs and drivers great, and has been primarily used a street car and DE events with me. Would be great for road trips with the local Cobra Clubs. Needs nothing for continued years of enjoyment on the street. Due to stripped interior up to 6' 6 owner can fit ans still be comfortable, will still pass SCCA NASA broomstick test with cage. Biggest guy to drive it so far has been 310lb's and 6 3', size 14 feet. This is the only way to fly if you are a bigger guy and want acobra.

Gets a solid 20-22 mpg on the freeway and with ~250 rwhp and 1920 lb's of car on slicks it is a solid 12 second street car all day, with the head package and drag tires will be low 11's and still be usable for DE or any track day that you can attend.

Lots of lookers not a lot of people who understand that its a track car first and slightly street legal second. IE don't drive down from LA and ask me why there is no carpet.

Still avaliable open to a trade of course, can throw in a 25K mile 1957 97 point restored Cadillac Coupe de Ville for a good Gen II corvette as well if anybody is interested.
