Question: how hard would it be to remove the black plastic piece behind the outer painted cover for the side intake? There is a DIY for popping the painted piece off, but its not clear how to remove the black piece.
I was thinking of covering with carbon fiber,,,,,
Thoughts?

 

To access the intercooler ducts, you need to remove the wheel, the fender lining, and the intercooler, bracket, and the upper and lower ducts.

Why would you want to wrap it in carbon fiber?

 

You mean 3M NiDoc type stuff? Thats kind of a good idea. Might look good.

 

Check these pics posted by a fellow 6sp members beautiful GT2 car i saved these pics thinking about doing the same, looks like just some black wrap inside vents but really changed the look ,not sure where he got the idea from.

 

Twturbo, That is exactly what i am thinking...I really like the idea of dressing this part up.. I have looked at the 3m vinyl and real CF wrap, it seems that taking this piece off is too much.. Perhaps just the 3m would be best.
