Ipd plenum install
Make sure that the clamps holding the output from the plenum to the engine intake runners are evenly spaced, with only a minimal (like 1mm) of rubber showing under the clamps.
I'm very lucky
I own one of the first 2011 911 Turbo S's to come into the USA in June 2010; and the IPD patent holder, "Turbo" Mike Kirakosyan, installed my first-off production model dimpled Y-pipe in the IPD shop!
When combined with the first dimpled plenum (installed in Colorado by Poudre Sports Car before I drove to LA) caused so much torque and horsepower... when it was my turn to drive after Mike's test, the caution light on the dash told me there was icy conditions in Huntington Beach! We broke the tires on 2nd-3rd shift!
I could not get on an AWD dyno while in CA, but know- no question- that I've received a 10% kick in the torque and horsepower right where I wanted it: just before turbo boost. In other words: 40-50hp at the wheels and - get this- 2mpg better fuel economy in carefully measured stages, over 2200 miles of careful driving.
