Hello all, I have a 2016 991 turbo s cabriolet and just installed a stage 2 power package with Sam (SamboTT@bydesign). picked up the car today
Installed equipment:
Cobb Accessport Stage 2 program
Kline innovation 70 mmsport exhaust with 100cell cats
IPD plenum
BMC filter
Kline Inconel headers
This is the first Porsche I've modified and am very happy with the result.
The car is extremely responsive with noticeably less lag and tremendous torque- plus it's very close to stock at idle with a more pronounced intake sound at full throttle. Acceleration is instant and passing power over 60 mph is where the extra power is really felt (as stock is pretty quick off the line as it is). Sam made the entire experience a breeze and would recommend this setup to anyone looking for adding more power and thrust without changing the car's refined character too much .
I have seen some on this forums describing the car as dull in stock form and I can see where they are coming from, and this set of modifications definitely makes the car anything but dull.
Hello- that's the next step- Data collection. I'm curious as well . I will contact Sam and plan to meet to collect some data regarding 0-60, 1/4 mile time and hp and torque gains. Sam took some short video clips of exhaust while revving and of the car passing by -so you can get an idea what it sounds like. I'll ask him to post it and I'll post that data once it's collected.

K, it was a pleasure to meet you and work with you. So glad we were able to make this transformation. Having the collection and history of cars that you have had tells me you know what you are looking for. Guys he has had every iteration of 911 Turbo since the 993 and even has a GT2RS. Then he's got the other side of the spectrum with amazing Ferraris and the sounds they make. I think we were able to give this car little bit of flavor from all of those.
We will get some more videos as soon as Los Angeles conditions permit.
Great video. Tons of crackling and popping when you lift off the gas. Tone of exhaust is definitely higher pitched than Europipe. This should sell well.
Hi Im new to this forum but know the OP well, he referred me over to Sam
I have a fairly new 2015 Turbo S cab and will be doing a similar mod by
Sam (SamboTT@bydesign).

I sure wish they had an E85 tune like my GTR, I too have a full stable of exotics (about 13) including 918 Spyder #130, 2008 GT2, 2014 GT3, 1997 993 TT and 2015 TTS cab (which Sam is working on soon) I also have a 2014 Black Ed GTR with Stage 3, Visconti E85 Flex Fuel (pulling 769hp to the crank on Mustang Dyno), plus 2015 GTR NISMO, 2 Ford GT's, Lamborghini Huracan and Countach, 2014 Shelby GT 500, 2007 Hummer H2 SUT
I know I've lost my mind and the car "bug" has consumed my mind, but I dont care. I will let you guys know how it goes and keep you posted with pics on the 2015 Turbo S mod. I sent Sam the deposit of $1000 today, I have spent a lot of time in the GTR world talking to many tuners both at Cobb and ECUtek and I can tell you Sam totally knows Porsche and what he is talking about, can't wait to see the results!!!
