All the issues with my GT speed over the years
All the issues with my GT speed over the years
Just wanted to share some info on my 16 GT speed in case someone was in the market for one
I bought it cpo in 2022 with 30k miles. Extended cpo twice so 5 years total coverage. It’s my daily driver. All of these repairs were done under warranty
1. 33k miles - Front Wheel bearings went bad after driving over rumble strips
2. 35k miles- trunk water leak- exit drains were clogged- cleared
3. 38k miles- clunking noise heard over bumps at low speeds- upper and lower control arms
4. 45k miles- forgot what yellow warning light came on but my steering spring clock sensor went out
5. 51k miles- car dropped on one side- strut bushing went out
6. 55k miles- front left shock clunking - replaced
7. 56k miles- front right shock clunking- replaced
8. 57k miles- vibration in highway speeds when turning- steering rack replaced
9. 58k miles- steering wheel stiff as a rock when turning for the first few minutes after start- steering module replaced in trunk
10. 60k miles- clucking over low speeds- lower control arms replaced again
11. 60k miles- dealership noticed valve cover gaskets leaking
I love the car but it’s been in the shop for a cumulative of 4 months while getting all these things replaced. Still wouldn’t give it up until I absolutely have to which is right before the warranty ends

Ahhh. Thanks. I took out a warranty wise warranty when I bought mine . I've had mine since it was 5 years old in 2013. WW wont do a car older than 10years so 2018 was my last .
I am now confused and angry.
I have a Bentley CPO on a 2017 GTC Speed with 17k miles. I took it for its regular annual service and a complimentary inspection was done where I was told that I need to replace all “four front suspension upper link arm inner bushings torn, require replacement of link arms to correct.” The dealer mentioned this is normal wear and tear and it’s not covered and will cost $5500. Your experience seem different than mine.
How do I proceed? Should this be covered? There seems to be some inconsistencies.

They are likely full of crap
1. Ask them to show you where it says in the cpo warranty that those bushings are excluded
2. Call the CPO warranty company personally and tell them the situation
3. contact Bentley corporate asking them to look into it
4. Hire an attorney for breach of contract

I would itemised the Bentley list of parts required and source the parts from Flying Spares or any other aftermarket supplier and get a quote from a good indi to replace said parts. Just because you have an OPC warranty doesn't mean your have to use them for all repairs if they don't cover that particular job. It won't effect the warranty for any future claims on the rest of the car.

Best of luck Chris
Thanks to everyone who chime in on my issue.
As most of you recommended, I did reach out to Bentley CPO and they assured me that it would be covered, at least partially, 17K miles, despite age is not sufficient to deny the request, however, there's no CPO request in the system for my car.
I have since learned that the dealership took it upon themselves not to submit the warranty/CPO claim because they concluded it would be denied based on past experience.
Bentley CPO called the dealership and requested/insisted that the warranty claim be submitted. I can only imagine what the dealership is portraying, "nothing broken, just wear and tear," despite verbiage on the work order of the bushings being torn and leaking.
As a back up, I do have the parts list for: "All four front suspension upper link arms with hardware." and the "Both front suspension lower thrust arms with hardware." totaling $7600 USD from Bentley and will be sourcing those parts from other reputable vendors i.e. Flying Spurs and or Scuderia. All I need now is a competent indy.

Update:
Bentley CPO plans to cover both the lower thrust arms and the upper control arms, after a second phone call.
Just because it happened in unison (both going out at the same time) doesn't mean one did not failed before the other or happened independently. I have 1700 miles between service.
This avoid me paying $11K, just enough for another 2 year renewal.
Still want a competent indy though.
