Anyone with 997 & 02-11 Cayanne?

Looking into an interesting option, that could benefit all of us. If any of you also have a Cayanne please take a look and perhaps some measurements of the PCM unit in comparison to the 997. I have a few calls and emails out there now trying make things come together that may provide us with a new option, or dare I say solution to the PCM 2.1 epic fail.

Thanks in advance.

The pcm in the cayenne is wider than the ones fitted to the 997, although i think from behind the facia its all the same.

I like the PCM in my .2 turbo much better than my prior .1's or my Cayenne's. I would go with a .2 PCM if exchanging is what you are looking to do.

I understand that the face plate may need some alteration but I am trying to figure out how much and if it can be modded to work, or if will need to be redesigned all together. Assuming that the factory harness and MOST loop connects the same between the 2 models, altering the face plate is no big deal. I will fill you guys in once I get a little more information. I don't want to create a mess of information that becomes useless. I have used this same unit in another vehicle in the past, and it would be a huge upgrade to the factory PCM with a rather OEMish appearance more like the PCM 3 in the .2 cars with A LOT more media functionality (no car data expected trip, mpg, etc)

I am working this from 2 different angles at the moment.

How much wider? How much taller? I am only concerned about outer trim to outer trim, the screen size is irrelevant.
