Convertible rear shelf carpet

Hey guys, mine appears to be fading from black to grey. Would be interested to know if there is a DIY to remove the current carpet and replace with new carpet or if there is a Matt that can be placed over?

If/when you replace it you could probably put one of those windshield protectors in the rear as well to prevent it from fading again. Might be able to post about the removal of the carpet in our tech forums to see if a technician may be able to further help you.

Thanks guys. I'll take a picture of what I am referring to when it stops raining. essentially it's the top shelf. The one that you see through the rear window.
