Nail / Bolt in tire
Took the car out for a ride today and started hearing a taping noise.


Thought it was a rock in the tread but It was a bolt /hex head.


It is smack in the center of the tire and the tires have less than 4K on them


Is patching from the inside no a smart choice wit these tires? or is it perfectly safe ands acceptable?

I've had just such an injury patched and has worked fine for many miles-since my rears are presently unavailable I'd beg them to patch it!

Yes, patch away. Only a track tire I wouldn't patch....

Plug and patch in the center of the threads but never close to or on sidewalls.

I agree 100% on this as well. Plugs and patches don't flex well and near the side wall is asking for trouble.

I have tracked my car with plug/patched front street tire similar to your description. No problems after a full day of hard driving.
