Visited GIAC last week
I had a free afternoon while in LA for business last week, so I called GIAC to arrange a visit.
I spent a good amount of time with Garrett and Austin and they are 2 of the best people I've met in this industry in a long time (20+ years).
Garrett's schooling and credentials outside of engineering high performance solutions are impressive. You'd never guess it by his demeanor however, super humble guy.
Austin gave me a tour of their facility and where they engineer and prototype their solutions. They do everything in house, a truly vertical operation. It is an engineering company, not a speed/tuner shop. Very impressive.
It's easy to see why they lead the tuning charge on Porsche and other platforms while some others play catch up with piggy backs, or limited control of tuning parameters that GIAC has had control of and incorporated in their tunes for years.
Austin and Garret shared a lot of stories of their testing and development on the Porsche and other platforms. They have some things up their sleeves for the 991 and 997.2 turbo that are exciting and will keep the competition at bay for a while.
If you have the opportunity to visit GIAC, you owe it to yourself to get there.
Thanks for the hospitality guys.

Just doing a tune up and some data logging with GIAC right now. Of course these mods are on my radar though.
