Porsche of Melbourne (FL) Service
Porsche of Melbourne (FL) Service
Tried to charge me $1000 for parts only for 4 new TPMS sensors and valve stems after I had trouble calibrating replacement sensors I bought from the Internet. I bought OEM parts, and because I could not "prove" to them that they were the correct Porsche part, they would not even touch my car or attempt to verify I had OEM parts.
Very disappointed and will not recommend anyone have their car serviced there and pay their prices- unless you are the the type who likes long waits, inflated prices, and rude elitist service.
Thanks to discount tire for replacing everything in 20 minutes, calibrating OEM parts, and for a fraction of the price.

I have found Discount Tire to be tops. At least in my area. The first time I had tires changed there, the installer brought my car to the first bay in front of the window so I could watch the whole process. When he was finished he brought car to the front of the store, held the door for me, and thanked me for my business. Now that is customer service that I have never received from a dealership.
I just purchased mine on eBay (4@$171). Talked with dealer service rep before buying them and was told that they had no problems with aftermarket TPMS sensors. He even pointed me to this specific seller on eBay since they had installed these units on several other cars without any issues.
Car is going in tomorrow for new front tires and the sensor replacement all around.
The eBay seller contacted me to confirm which Porsche OEM pn I needed for my car. I verified it on the Suncoast site (you can read the pn off the picture). He programmed the sensor and provided me with the serial numbers in case the dealer needed the information for setup.
