Gen 3 Viper stereo won't eat CD's?

Having some problems with the stock stereo on a 2006 coupe. I can't insert any cd's into it. Has anyone had this problem?

Most likely you have to replace the unit. OEM head units are only good for about 5 years if your lucky. I would swap to aftermarket unit.

It comes down to what features are important to you for budget. Features like Bluetooth, usb, Sat Radio, CD, IPOD control, smartphone control and ect.

Next decide if you want a single Din unit or double Din unit with a lcd screen.

The brands I would use is the major ones like Sony(GS Models), Alpine, pioneer and Kenwood/JVC.

Bang for the buck best single-Din unit that gives you pretty much every option and cost under $200 is the SONY GS 610BT head unit.

If your looking for a great shop to do the work if your not going to install it yourself check these guys out.

They all die in the viper after some amount of time. I would find another OEM unit that is working on eBay and call it a day. Easy to install and everything will work as intended.

I have had to replace about one a car in all of my vipers.

I think thats the best option. Just buy another used one and call it a day. I never had any problems with the oem one except for the crappy look of them but oh well. Thanks!
