Occasionally the sound on my radio will suddenly fade to a low bass sounding sound. No matter what source I select, it sounds more like a low rumble but I can faintly hear the proper source playing. Turning it on and off does not have any affect. Then suddenly the sound will return. It doesn't really happen very often, but is annoying when it does. Any ideas of why this occurs??

I have a similar prob with my '09. Sometimes the volume will max-out at a low level and the volume **** has no effect. I have to turn the whole car off and back on to get it back to normal. I'm not positive but it seems to mainly happen with my iPod as the input source. I think it's just a bug in the PCM firmware/software.

 

+1, My Cayenne does this also. I gulp, cycle the ignition and brush it off lol.
